PawDaily for Dogs with Anxiety

Anxiety Problems in Dogs

Similar to humans, dogs can experience anxiety for a variety of different reasons including fear/environmental factors, separation, and aging/development of other chronic diseases. All breeds and ages of dog are sure to experience some level of anxiety within a normal range when introduced to new people, environments, and stimuli. Anxiety becomes troubling when it occurs outside of what is considered "normal" for a particular breed or age or if anxious behaviours cause issues within the home or family. If this is the case for you pet it may be worth looking into options on how to manage your dogs anxiety while also assessing if you have realistic expectations of the dogs behaviour based on the breed and the home environment. [1]

Anxiety can have many causes, including:

  • Separation from owners for extended periods of time (Separation Anxiety)
  • Loud noises or adverse weather events (ie. Thunderstorms)
  • New environments
  • Stressful situations/places (ie. Vet's office, car rides)
  • New stimuli (people, places, items)
  • Age (Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome)
  • Development of chronic illness' that negatively affects quality of life
  • Lack of socialization early in life
  • Previous unpleasant outcome in particular situations

Anxiety can present in many behaviours including:

  • Barking
  • Urination/marking
  • Aggression
  • Tucked tail and lowered ears
  • Whimpering and low body posture
  • Destroying furniture / household items

How does Full Spectrum Hemp Oil help with Anxiety in Dogs?

Similar to humans, dogs have endocannabinoid receptors throughout their central nervous system [2]. When the compounds in a Full Spectrum Hemp Oil such as PawDaily are ingested in appropriate amounts, they bind to the endocannabinoid receptors and stimulate the secretion of serotonin; a neurotransmitter than helps to stabilize mood, feelings of well-being, and happiness.

Full spectrum hemp oil administered on a regular basis (daily) at an appropriate dosage may help address or minimize your dog's anxiety especially if you have already tried modifying other factors such as environment, stimuli, and people or if further modifying these is not an option.

Check out some of the testimonials below from our customers on how PawDaily Full Spectrum Health Oils have helped their pups better manage anxiety.

While there is positive research and testimonials from some of our customers below on how PawDaily (and Hemp Oil in general) can help reduce anxiety in your dog, always be sure to consult with your Veterinarian before starting your pet on any new medication/supplements to ensure it is the right solution for your pet and that it won't interact with any other medications they are currently taking.

PawDaily Testimonials

Oakley & Oliver

"Both Oakley and Oliver are very active hyper young pups. We love incorporating Pawtanical treats into their meals, and daily lives- and since doing so we’ve noticed amazing changes. We’ve working on Oakley’s Anxiety since his adoption, he would cry for hours on end, and at points was destructive beyond belief.

We can proudly say he’s overcome his fears and anxiety, Oliver's stiff hips and movement have improved immensely and we can only thank the Pawtanical team for the well-behaved healthy dogs we have today💚"

Ava & Jet

“How pawfect are these two? Right!?

Since being introduced to Pawtanical Full Spectrum Hemp, I notice that these babies transition a lot more smoothly and are able to process command more efficiently. Separation anxiety is a real and so is impulsivity. The only change to routine in the last month is the add of the oil and I see a difference. Jet is very much a teenager but now he isn’t getting overwhelmed with distractions and impulsions (especially when given a command). Ava, sweet Ava, is quiet in her crate this week and has been able to process our leaving home as unthreatening. Bed time’s a piece of cake and it’s been this way since we upped her dose to the recommended therapeutic level for effect (0.5 ml)."

Conclusion

While many of our customers have also reported positive effects using PawDaily to help manage their dog's anxiety please remember to consult with your veterinarian if you are unsure of your pet's health status or if they are on other medications before starting PawDaily or any other medication/supplement. Also remember that managing your dogs anxiety is a combination of multiple factors and trying to address as many of them as possible will help in the best outcomes for your pet.
